About Cheer Canada: Cheerleading Canada Inc. (CC or Cheer Canada) is a not for profit association established as the National Sports Organization for Cheerleading in Canada to manage, direct, promote and assist the activities of all cheerleading in Canada. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Fitness Trainer to join our team and help our national level athletes reach their peak physical condition.

Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic, knowledgeable and evidence based Fitness Trainer with a strong background in strength and conditioning, particularly for cheerleading or similar high-performance sports. The ideal candidate will work closely with our coaching staff as well as our medical team to develop and implement training programs that enhance our athletes’ strength, flexibility, endurance, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement tailored fitness programs that address the specific needs of cheerleading athletes.

Conduct group and individual training sessions focusing on strength, flexibility, endurance, and injury prevention.

Monitor and assess athletes’ progress, making adjustments to training programs as needed.

Collaborate with coaching staff to align fitness goals with overall team objectives.

Ensure a safe and motivating training environment for all athletes.

Qualifications:

Certification in personal training, strength and conditioning, or a related field (e.g., NASM, NSCA, ACE, or equivalent).

Proven experience as a fitness trainer, preferably with cheerleading or other high-performance sports teams.

Strong understanding of the physical demands and injury risks associated with cheerleading.

Ability to develop and implement comprehensive training programs.

Excellent communication and motivational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with a coaching staff and medical team.

Passion for cheerleading and/or high performance sport and commitment to athlete development.

Bilingual in English and French is an asset
